Mesa County recently accomplished a significant cleanup effort at a property in Clifton that has been under code violations for over two decades.

Mesa County Commissioners sent a letter to the U.S. House Appropriations Committee to support the request for total funding of Title I (Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth) and III (Employment Services) programs under the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA); during the Aug. 8 administrative public hearing.

Governor Jared Polis has appointed Mesa County Assessor Brent Goff to serve on the Colorado Board of Real Estate Appraisers.

Last week the Mesa County Sheriff's Office cut the crime scene tape on the new substation at 126 2nd St. in Clifton. The new substation is 3,568 square feet and will serve as the home for the Law Operations Division of the Mesa County Sheriff's Office.
