No Burn Advisory

Mesa County Public Health has issued a No Burn Advisory from Saturday, June 6 at 7 a.m. until Monday, June 15 at 9 p.m. due to fire danger. Burning of any kind, including agricultural burning, is not allowed during this advisory period. Check conditions on our Air Quality webpage.

Mesa County election tours

Interested in seeing how elections work in Mesa County? Sign up for an election tour! Join us on either June 23 or June 26 from 9:30 am until noon for a behind-the-scenes look at how ballots are securely received from drop boxes, processed, and counted during an active election.

Tours are free and open to the public, but space is limited and advance registration is required. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the safeguards in place to ensure accurate and transparent elections. Tours are held at the Mesa County Central Services building (west entrance) at 200 S Spruce Street in Grand Junction.

Mock election gives students a firsthand look at how voting works

Mesa County hosted a mock election to help high school students understand how voting works and how ballots are processed and protected. The hands-on experience builds confidence and prepares future voters to participate in elections.
