No Burn Advisory

Mesa County Public Health has issued a No Burn Advisory from Saturday, June 6 at 7 a.m. until Monday, June 15 at 9 p.m. due to fire danger. Burning of any kind, including agricultural burning, is not allowed during this advisory period. Check conditions on our Air Quality webpage.

The Rosevale Road Drainage Improvement Project’s first stages are underway. At the recent administrative public hearing on Oct. 17, the County Commissioners granted approval for the Public Works Director to sign a grant award letter worth $1.2 million. This grant, funded by the Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Management as part of COVID-19 relief efforts, marks a crucial step forward in addressing the drainage and flooding issues that affect property owners near Rosevale Road.

The project goal is to hire a consultant to conduct a feasibility study to determine a cost-effective project plan following geotechnical, environmental, and all protocols to complete the drainage and flooding issues on Rosevale Road.

Stay tuned for updated project information.
