No Burn Advisory

Mesa County Public Health has issued a No Burn Advisory from Saturday, June 6 at 7 a.m. until Monday, June 15 at 9 p.m. due to fire danger. Burning of any kind, including agricultural burning, is not allowed during this advisory period. Check conditions on our Air Quality webpage.

Arboretum Park

Learn about the park

Arboretum is one of four parks located at the Mesa County Fair Grounds. It is located along the south edge of the main parking lot. The Colorado State University Extension Office maintains the demonstration and research garden. Reservations for large events may be made by contacting the Fair Grounds office at 970-256-1531.

Park description

  • Narrow, 600' long garden
  • Over 50,000 sq. ft. of local grasses, shrubs and trees
  • Includes a walking path that is wheelchair friendly
  • The park includes a small amphitheater which can seat up to 200 people. It can be used for environmental and educational programs. Contact the CSU Extension Office for more information.
